This past August, as a part of my video production work, I was contracted to shoot a wedding in North Vancouver. I make this sound extremely professional, but my clients were two of my friends who were looking for a videographer and probably decided on me because I gave them a good deal 1) because I’m a nice guy and 2) because despite my extensive shooting, editing and story-telling experience my actual wedding experience at the time was pretty thin. But don’t be mistaken, the work we did was as professional as can be.
Sheeba and I spent the entire day with them, from 7am to 11pm and shot about 115GB of footage with two cameras. In addition to giving them the raw footage so they can see the ceremony, all the speeches, etc. in their entirety, what I also did was create a short film that served as an artistic interpretation of their special day from start to finish, is a great as a keepsake and can be shared with others. It’s eight minutes of pure marital bliss and here is how it turned out:
